Silver tetradrachm from Thassos, Roman era: depicts the head of the young Dionysus, crowned with ivy. It dates from the 2nd century BC. (after 148 BC) and has a diameter of 30 mm and a weight of 16.92 grams. On the reverse is depicted Hercules with a lion’s skin, a staff and the inscription “IRAKLEUS SOTIROS TASION”, which means “Hercules Savior of Thassos”.
